Enjoying the journey! We're doing the loop (in segments) in a 2004 Rosborough 246- it's been an awesome boat. While the deep keel might help in rough water, we've appreciated the 18" draft in all the shallow spots.

Seeing the photos of Grant on his Gale Force and remembering our encounter on the Loop made me think about that Rosborough 246 and what a delightful little craft that was. Watching him bouncing around as he passed me on the leg from South Haven to St Joseph in rough seas made me cringe. The captain's chair could benefit with shoulder and lap belts. But on the other hand, he would have shortened the time to do that 24 mile in less than 2 hours to my 4-hour ordeal. The last I saw of him he passed me at Joliet, and I haven't heard of him since. One of my greatest pleasures of the Great Loop was meeting people and meeting you at library at Labelle Florida was a wonderful experience. What a small world! I recall the heat that year was oppressive, and that library offered air conditioning making my stay there during the hot afternoon so enjoyable. Thanks for signing on and following me on my recap of the Great Loop and I hope your sections of the Great Loop are just as enjoyable as mine were. It's a phenomenal journey with incredible people! Godspeed!
