The Clifton Marina sign-ins caught my eye. Although we never actually MET them, we first encountered Gatsby at DeTour Village, MI. Our last encounter with them would have been shortly after their 2007 visit to Clifton. They had run around and friends of ours (at the suggestion of a tow captain) used their powerboat to throw a big enough wake at their bow to break them free. The last time we saw them, we were touring/picnicking at Shiloh and watched them go by southbound.

Funny how I found and posted the quote for the day by F Scott Fitzgerald taken from the Great Gatsby and the reference to the past. Mark Twain, the noted humorist, was also interested in events of minds mingling when far apart. He coined a term "Mental Telegraphy" which later became known as telepathy. He wrote much on the idea but never published as he thought no one would take him seriously.

What an incredible coincidence! Great story! I flipped to a random page in that sign in book and when I posted this photo, it was then I realized it was in 2007 your year doing the loop. This was the only marina that I visited that had a sign in book which I thought was a wonderful idea and mentioned it to the other marinas I visited.
